YVETTE YOUNG

Through the history of modern guitar playing there have been influential players that move the focus of the instrument into a new phase. Multi instrumentalist “Yvette Young” is indeed one of these progressive musicians that both inspires and influences others.

Yvette’s style and sound encompasses tapping, beautiful plucked, strummed and picked arpeggios with pitch shifted ambient and polyphonic voicings.

An accomplished painter, Yvette’s joy and enthusiasm for music shines through in her performance, with the band Covet, or in solo situations, just watching Yvette reminds us of the pleasure music gives us in our lives.

Launched in 2019 the Ibanez® YY10 Yvette Young signature Talman guitar exudes Yvette’s character with its stunning slime green sparkle finish and special Yvette created artwork stickers. The YY10 features our Wilkinson WV6-SB with its 5+1 knife edge and deep and stagger drilled steel block and push in arm, offering vintage look and feel with fantastic tuning stability and return to pitch.

I love using the Wilkinson WV6-SB because it’s honestly super easy and straight forward to use, which I like when I’m in the creative moment and writing! The last thing I want to have to worry about is set up. In addition to that, it stays in tune so well and I’m very pleased with the sustain!
