MARC BONILLA

A highly respected musician, performer and teacher, Marc Bonilla moved to Los Angeles in 1990, joining Toy Matinee and releasing his first solo album “EE Ticket” in 1991. The debut album showcased Marc’s unique style, tone and composition skills beautifully. In 1993 Marc released his second solo album entitled “American Matador”, which continued to feature a tour de force of unique and stylish guitar playing and songcraft. The album also featured legendary guitarist Ronnie Montrose and renown vocalist Glenn Hughes singing a rendition of Procol Harem’s “A Whiter Shade Of Pale”. In 2019, Marc released his 3rd solo album, “Celluloid Debris”, which continues to garner rave reviews from both the music community and guitar fans worldwide.

In the field of Film and Television, Marc has worked on a host of major motion pictures including Falling Down, Iron Man 2, The Scorpion King, Green Lantern, The Bourne Legacy, and Spiderman 2. His TV credits include the hit TV series Justified, working alongside Toto’s Steve Porcaro, as well as earning an Emmy nomination.

Marc’s career has brought him in contact with several well-known artists including Eddie Jobson, David Coverdale, Paul Rogers, Rob Halford, Edgar Winter, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Robbie Kreiger, Danny Seraphne, Tesla, Derek Smalls (Spinal Tap) and the legendary keyboardist Keith Emerson. Marc has also recently been invited to front the supergroup Asia on their 40th anniversary tour.

Marc has been using Wilkinson VS100 vibratos for many years now to create his specific technique and unique guitar voice, which can be witnessed in Marc’s video he specifically created for this website.
