A seasoned rock and blues guitarist Sam Wood knows what he wants from his pickups, whether performing with Black Star Riders or Wayward Sons its all about classic sounds, rich harmonics and a sound that sits right into rock history.

The Selection

For the Sam Wood Artist choice the neck pickup is our Caliber 5761 taking you right back to the original 1957 Humbucker, with clear tone and a classic output that doesn’t overload the amplifier input.

For a hotter bridge position Sam chose our Caliber 7484a neck model, preferring the slightly reduced output of the neck position humbucker to our standard bridge version
