Brian May

A legendary guitarist, songwriter and musician, Brian May and his sound are as unique as the songs Queen created. As many will know Brian and his father created the iconic guitar that has become his trademark and is known as the “Red Special”.

BMG was founded to create affordable versions of the original “Red Special” and with a small team including Brian’s legendary guitar tech, Pete Malandrone and founder of the famous Bass Centre, Barry Moorhouse, BMG now produce a range of instruments based around the “Red Special’s” look and vibe.

Recently female artist, “Arielle” has joined the BMG team, launching her own Arielle model guitar under the BMG brand. Inspired by Brian’s “Red Special” story, Arielle built a guitar that is individual, but also familiar to the “Red Special”.

BMG have been long term supporters of Wilkinson and feature our ultra-low friction two post WVP vibrato, which features a custom designed vibrato arm to Brian’s specific requirements.
