Standing out from the crowd, or individuality is a desirable quality for any guitar brand, however, being different isn’t the easiest path to success, and in many instances is the undoing of a brand. Reverend Guitars are a shining example of individuality, and a fantastic example of innovative design, taking cues from guitar history they have forged a path forward to become one of the leading independent guitar and bass brands in the world today.
Founded over 25 years ago by Joe Naylor a trained luthier, graduate industrial designer and inventor, the Reverend brand took the vibe of the catalogue brand guitars of the 50’s and 60’s and brought in cool new body shapes that utilised quality timbers and non–traditional materials, with great components/hardware and excellent build quality.
In 2010 Ken Haas and his wife Perry took over ownership of the Reverend brand, and with Joe Naylor retaining his role as designer and technical advisor, the brand has continued to grow and has become a beacon for players and artists that stand out from the crowd, making their own musical statements with these great instruments.
Wilkinson is honoured and proud to be part of the Reverend journey, and thanks Ken, Penny, Joe and the team for choosing and trusting Wilkinson hardware
